How to sketch this polygon?

I'm new to Fusion 360, coming from Vectorworks.

How to sketch a polygon like that shown in red in the attached screenshot?

Most intuitive would be to move vertex of a rectangle. But I can't figure out how.

I've tried creating polygon instead of rectangle. But Edge Polygon seems to only draw hexagon (six sided). Where's the option for free form polygon? Can't find it.

Also tried all sorts of modifier keys while clicking on the rectangle. Nothing.

You are correct, draw a rectangle, then delete the vertical constraint ( small icon in the mid area of the line, left click - delete) of the side to alter, then drag the point/sides out by selecting a corner.  Add constraints / dimensions and carry on.

Those peculiar squiggles or whatever they're supposed to be are quite a hidden secret. I would've never guessed that they highlight separately from the edge. Nor that they can be deleted for some purpose. No screen hints. No instructions. Definitely not intuitive.

Now creating a vertex-by-vertex polygon is another challenge. Perhaps I'll post it as another question.
