Hello folks.
I hope to avail myself of your collective wisdom and experience with a particular challenge I face. I have designed an air reservoir in Fusion 360 and I would like to simulate uniform pressure on the entire inner structure to determine whether this specific design and its concomitant specifications can theoretically sustain to be pressurized to 800-900 Psi given the size of its shell and tensile strength of the material used, namely Polylactic Acid (PLA) plastic with a rating of 37 MPa (370 bar).
I have located some discussions on this general topic, but these discussions usually center around a sphere. My problem involves a conical shape. Not being a structural engineer (my father was one but unless I use a Ouija board to speak to the dead, he is unlikely to help me), I hope you can.
Many thanks!
