How to simulate a part created using form

I wanted to run a stress simulation on a part created using the form process.  I created the form with one "layer" so I wouldn't have to move inner / outer parts each time.  However, now I cant add thickness or turn it into a body for simulating.  I'm guessing there is something wrong with the model, but I cant figure out what it is.

Thanks!

You can change to the patch works[pace and thicken this not a solid body. Right now its an infinitely thin surface.

My suggestion would be that you start with the basics before advancing to more complex subjects.

Thanks for the feedback.  Your "infinitely thin" comment got me thinking about it differently.  I started a new seat from scratch...  every few moves I would check to see if it would thicken.  It would stop thickening if there was an overlap shown in the box view mode.  No box view overlaps and it works great now.

Thanks.

Yes, but think about the difference between thickening in Sculpt the sculpt environment and in the Patch environment.

The one in the Patch environment is parametric 😉
