How to send fusion 360 file through email

I have made 3d drawing of a hollow cylinder 200mm height having 60mm inner and 70mm outer dia with 16 slots 160mm long 4mm wide.

I want to get its 3d model to be made on 3d printer. The 3d model printing company has asked me to send the file to them on their email address.

They will use this file to print & make plastic model of required size and send it to me through courier.

Please let me know how to send file.

Thanks

Right click on the root component (topmost element in the browser) and in the context menu choose "Save as STL". STL files are common format in 3D printing world. After that you you can attach this file to email.

Hi
Thanks for the prompt reply. I had saved the file as .stl and mailed it.
But when I wanted to re open the same file downloaded from my sent mail, it
does not get open. Instead it asks for program app in store. I have kept my
fusion 360 program open but it does not open.
Is it due to that 3D printer program is not installed in my computer?
I have exported the file to my computer desk top in .f3d format. If I want
to open this in open Fusion file in ' New design from file' and select the
file from desk top it gets open as 'unidentified' new file
Can I send this .f3d file format for printing purpose through Email?

Thanks,

I don't think they will install Fusion 360 only for opening .f3d files. Printing applications can't read that file, so anyway they will have to convert .f3d to .stl somehow.

So, .f3d - is to save for further editing in Fusion. .stl - is to export for printing.

Also you can import .stl into Fusion (Insert->Insert Mesh), but it will be a triangulated geometry, and it will require several steps to convert it back to solid body. Anyway, it will not be the same as it was before export.
