How to save a "view", i.e. model orientation and viewpoint?

I'm trying to do product renderings for various options, and need to have each render have the same product angle and orientation.  I've looked through all of the documentation and used Google, but can't seem to find if this is a feature.

Is there any way of saving a "view" so I can get it back later?

Thanks,

Hi @michael55SE4,

Thanks for posting! Sorry to hear about the troubles you have been having!

Fusion 360 gives you the ability to "save" viewing orientation through a feature called Named Views. The Quick Tip linked here describes how to go about creating these.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Cheers,

Hi @michael55SE4,

Once you have your design oriented to the view you want, do the following:

1. Right click on the node called "Named Views" in your browser.

2. Select new named view and give it a name.

This will help you get back to that orientation quickly.  To get multiple renderings of a specific view orientation,

1. Switch to the Render workspace.

2. Put your design in the desired view orientation.

3. Click Render and in the dialog that pops up, submit the job for cloud rendering.

4. In the bottom pane "Rendering Gallery", you should see that job getting processed.

5. Grab the box that shows the rendering and drag it to the space to the left of it where it says, "Drag and drop views here...".

6. Now for each change you make to your design and save, there will be a corresponding version of the rendering produced.

7. In the Render workspace, in the tile showing the rendering, the top right corner will show you the number of versions.  Click that to see all versions.

I hope this is what you are looking for.  If not, please elaborate.  Below is a screencast (note: I didn't do the named views here, just a quick video to show how to add specific views for rendering)

Best regards,

I know this is a very old topic. But is there anyway to change the quality of the render on save feature. When i used that feature it rendered it in standard quality when i used excellent quality on the original, and the file size was also very small. The original was a 4k image, but the render on save one was 1334 x 750.

So is there anything i can do to change it?

Thanks
