I want to sketch a rectangle at 45 degrees while using the already drawn model as a reference. Imagine fitting a 45 degree rectangle into a simple square plate that is drawn with horiz and vert lines referenced to the origin.
Seems like a simple problem to solve.
However, you can't draw a rotated rectangle (you have to draw it and then use move) AND you can't rotate the view of the sketch at any other angle other than 90 degrees. So, you have to draw lines, make a lot of constraints, etc in order to do this simple operation.
I think simply looking the sketch at a 45 degree angle would give me everything I want: the ability to draw a horiz / vert lined rectangle while using the model in the background for referencing dimensions / location.
Is this possible? I can't find any controls that let me do this.
Cheers,
