How to remix parts in Fusion 360 ?

I am trying to remix a part for a 3d print task. The creator provided a STEP file that I was able to import into Fusion.

If this was my own design, I would edit the sketch and change the dimension there, but I see no way to do this on an imported object.

I've attached an f3d and an STL of the file, as well as a picture of the dimension I am trying to change. I need to increase this gap by 0.8mm.

I saw an older article from 2017 that mentioned mesh to brep, but I couldn't find that option in my version of fusion.

Thanks in advance!

Simply use Direct Editing techniques.

No *.f3d file Attached.

*.stl is rubbish.

Zip and Attach the original STEP file here or the *.f3d file.

I have a step file that contains all parts, but if fails to attach so I'm trying to attach a zip of it.

I'm not sure what is meant by 'direct editing' techniques.

I have now managed to find Mesh -> BREP - turns out that you have to disable history for that. I'm looking at slicing into two objects and going from there, but the

Forget mesh.  Mesh = rubbish.

Back in a few minutes...  ...with video when it is done compiling.

I have no idea where that "remix" terminology originates from but in the context of CAD it makes very little sense.

This object is slightly more complex than a cube so it's easy enough to replicate with precision with Fusion 360's native tools.
