How to put an indent in a button

Hello,

my device has a button with a diameter of 14.8mm.

I will add a fillet of 0.1, so the diameter for the indent should be 14.6.

The indent should be like when I create a really big sphere over the center of the button and that sphere cuts in the button. This is so the finger can find the button easily.

I can calculate how big the sphere must be when I want that the sphere has a diameter of x. But that is not so precise.

Is there a tool in fusion 360 for things like that?

Or is there a trick?

Yes.

Coincident constraint.

File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here if you can't figure it out.

I seldom do ANY calculations - get lazy, let the software do the work for you.

Does that work in 3D too?

Ah I see, you created a circle in 2d first and then the sphere. I will try that out now

It could have been done with only one Revolve - but I was trying to keep in line with the idea of cutting with a spherical geometry.  The user has to define the indent depth.

I attached the drawing. I added a construction plane and created the circle. But idk how to let the sphere mid point snap to the circle mid point 😕
