How to pull face that it aligns / snaps with offset plane?

Hi,

Basically the Subject says it all 🙂

I need to get a bodie's face (rectangle) in a certain distance of a rectangle (they are parallel), so I created an offset plane of that face and thought by pulling the body that it would align automatically with the offset plane.

How can I achieve that?

Thanks and regards

Hannes

I'm not 100% certain of what you are are asking, but I think it might be the ability to snap to a face during a Press/Pull operation.  If so, see the screencast below.  The trick is you have to drag the face a little.  Once you start the drag, clicking a face will cause the face being dragged to snap to the clicked face:

Hi jeff,

No I meant it like in this screencast (I already achieved the result now, but by measuring the required distance and applying it to the press/pull command).

But of course I could generate a small face in the desired plane quickly and then just align the 2 faces as you showed me 🙂

Thanks for the video, @kreatronik,

Was the intention to snap to the work plane?  If so, you can also do that, similar to what I showed in the first video.  You can just click on the work plane, and it should achieve the same result:

Thank you!
