how to project perpendicular from the plane you're projecting FROM?

In the below screenshot there's a sketch of a rectangle with rounded corners that lies in the horizontal plane. Then there's another plane at 45 degrees to the horizontal with a few lines on it.

 

What I had in mind was to project the shape from the horizontal plane upwards (vertically) and catch the intersection of it with the slanted plane. Of course that's not what I got. Naturally the projection is perpendicular to the plane am projection TO.

 

How do I do what I had in mind?

Extrude the sketch lines though the inclined plane, then Project > Intersect the body, into the current sketch.  Patch Extrude will do just sketch articles, but Solid Extrude needs a profile.

Kind of forget that Project-Include exists when use the shortcut "P" all the time. Most of the cases "P" does the trick, but NOT here!

1. Fillets and anything else that can be modeled with a solid feature should be kept out of sketches.

2. Extrude a body from the sketch

4 Create a sketch on that angled construction plane.

3. Create a Project/Include-Intersect with the body you extruded.

Definitely have a love / hate relationship with fillets in Sketches. Why do you say they should definitely be kept out of Sketches and modelling in solid is better?

Working with 3D geometry instead of sketches creates more stable and usually more performant models.

Sketches are easy to break in many CAD applications but difficult to fix in Fusion 360.
