How to move components joined with joints

What am I missing here? I have seen many models that have components connected by joints, and you can drag the components in line with the joint. I am trying to create a model that does this. Here is a simple example.

I create a sketch with two rectangles, extrude the rectangles into bodies, convert the bodies to components by clicking on them in the browser and selecting "Create Components from Bodies" (one body at a time).

Then I create a joint between the components. I can create a slider, revolute etc. and the joint does a sample animation for me. I click ok.

Then what should I do to move the joint. If I grab one of the components with the mouse, it just moves both of them together as a pair joined together rigidly (my joint is not rigid, naturally).

Do I need to get into some sort of joint-dragging mode? If so, I cannot see how to do this?

Please let me know what I am doing wrong. File attached.

Many thanks,

Julian

That was it. Thank you. Grounding one component did it.
