How to move a solid edge?

How to move just a solid edge?  My intuition is to select that edge and simply try to move it.

One suggestion is to use a sketch with the required profile and use the extrude option.

You can use Direct Edit here if you know the angle which you need to move the edge by. The more accurate solution would be to do what @praise.tomWX9P2 suggested and use a sketch and extrude. I have attached a video for the direct edit if you wanted to try.

I would love to see solid modifications via edges (and points) as fast and easy as we can do with Forms (T-splines) in Fusion.  See GIF.

It looks to me like totally incorrect techniques are being used to create the geometry.
