How To Measure An Inserted Canvas

I've inserted a canvas to use as a template, but don't know what size it is when imported. I can scale it, but that won't tell me it's dimensions and the Inspect tool can't measure it. How do I know what size the canvas is before creating the part from it?

use the Calibrate command on the context meny for the Canvas:

This lets you set a measurement for two points on the canvas and scales it to match that size:
