How to make section view with single arrow

I want to make a section view with a single arrow, so that the resulting view is only a section view on one part and a full view on the other.

I was able to get it working once, but I have absolutely no clue how to reproduce this:

You just do not select a direction for the second arrow.  The Animated GIF will show this.

If this answers your question, please select the "Accept Solution" on my post. If you need further help, please ask.

I don't understand how to not specify the direction of the second arrow, I can't tell what you're doing differently to not specify it

I can do it if I follow your steps of hovering over certain points but I don't understand why this makes a difference

Hey 26Bow,

If your two section lines aren't perfectly square to each other, it'll make you set the direction of the second arrow.

Do you have snapping turned on? When you start the second part of your section, does it automatically try to make it perpendicular to the first part?

When you hover over the center point, this gives the section line, first, a point to align the first section line and select the first arrow position.  You hover a second time and move down, following the light green dashed line, until you clear the part and left click.  Then all you do is either click the "ChecK" in the circle or hit Enter on the keyboard.

Hovering over points is to tell Fusion what you want to do and where to reference from.

I am using snapping to make sure it's square? I really don't understand this feature

Hover over the Center of the hole in your piece instead of the Midpoint of the edge to get the aligning line for the first arrow.  Return to the same point for the second section line.
