HOW TO IMPORT SOLID BODIES

Anonymous
Not applicable

My question ia about a method to insert , import or open a model or solid that was done previously in other software but in the design I am working at

When I use the Open command to look for an existing model it is opened in a New design and not in the one I am working with.

I can do that only with dxf or  mesh files using the Insert command but not solids

Any help over there?

If compatible format,

Insert into current design,

Data Panel and or File Menus,

This may  be a licence restriction for some.

Might help...

You should be able to open IGES, do Stitch or repair, save as *.f3d and insert the *..f3d into your design.

Zip and Attach your IGES file here if you can’t figure it out.

Export as STP files instead and they will come in as solids.

Thanks for the answer, but I am not able to find the option of *.f3d under the comand Insert

There I only find:

Derive, Decal, Canvas,Mesh, SVG, DXF,McMaster and a Manufacturer part, but not *.f3d

Am I wright?

Thanks

I am not at my Fusion machine right now, but can’t you simply drag-and-drop from the data panel?
