How to force orbit pivot point?

Normally the orbital pivot point (green dot in the video) is where I clicked and started rotation. But often it stuck in some previous location and only restart of whole app (many many minutes) would help. Any way to force it?

right. New things today. 1) There is "Set orbit center" in right-click menu (but only when clicked on an empty space, which seems annoying — thinking if I am deep zoomed in on some part) 2) Now I understand that there seem to be some sort of state variable in the application where if I manually set orbit center - it will stay there even if I click on a different place (with shift and drag middle mouse to orbit). But! If I do "reset orbit center" it will start making orbit center where I click with shift + middle mouse drag.

So, now I can just do "reset orbit center" when I am in the state I described in my Q. Thank you!
