How to force dimension horizontal or vertical

See the picture below.  I do not want the "diagonal" dimension to link to the far side of my board - I want the smaller object to be 60.7mm from the left hand edge of the board.  How do I do this?  The dimension always seems to lock itself to the point top-left!  Thanks.

Sadly this is what I see on right-click - is this a limitation of the free version?

Hi @paul_d_smithMNY,

Delete the dimension first.

Then select the two points without accepting it. (first righ-click) to enforce the direction the dimension has to be placed.

Am I following this correctly?
1. Select "Sketch Dimension"

2. Left click on first endpoint

3. Left click on second endpoint

4. Drag the dimension around

5. Right click to get the align options

At step 4, my dimension never moves - it remains firmly on the diagonal and when I right click, the align options are not there.  Is there some option I might have inadvertently enabled?

I found a very nasty workaround:

1. Move the object to the other side of the board

2. Align it against the end of the board; since both points are aligned along the side, this works

3. Remove the dimension again

4. Move the object back across to the other side of the board.

Rather frustrating but it works.

there are no options that I am aware of that will affect this behavior.  Can you record a screen video of what you are doing?  The option should be there if you are previewing (have not clicked for a location for the dimension text) the dimension.  This has nothing to do with the free version.

@paul_d_smithMNY

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply and end all doubt.

You aren't even on the correct plane.

Observe that there is Projected geometry (purple)

Observe that there is underdefined geometry (blue)

Observe that there are now arrowheads on the ends of the dimension lines.

This one will be trivially easy to solve with the actual file.
