How to export closed, sketched shapes as solid-fill instead of outlines?

Hello! I'm a grad student, and I need to send a dxf file to a screen manufacturing company for screen printing. I have sketched my design in my workspace and know I can right click the sketch and just hit "export as dxf". HOWEVER, I need closed shapes to be completely blacked out in the dxf [as if the entire face was selected] not just the outline that I sketched.

To illustrate, the first picture [small crosshair] is an example of what I need, the second picture [larger cross hair opened in a clunkier viewing program] is what I'm currently outputting.

Is there a way to get all the FACES in a sketch exported to dxf? Or some there workaround?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or advice you may have to offer!!

Follow the steps in the Screencast and you will have your "solid" DXF.  Next time you post, please include your model so the person trying to answer you question does not have to take the time to create the model, you will get quicker and more relevant answers.
