so i have a rolled profile and i need a bunch of joints to be made how do i do this, i need them all to be perpendicular to the Drum.....take a look at the file

I attached a model I did a while ago to prove an assembly concept to have a pin tack along the surface of a cylinder. The pin is actually traveling along a slotted bar using a Pin-Slot Joint, with the slotted bar being hidden. In this concept model I have a motion link between the cylinder rotation and the pin location which probably means nothing to you. The concept of placing a pin on the surface of a cylinder is the concept you may use. To see it work, drag either the pin or the drum or animate the Pin-Slot Joint. Using this method you have complete control over the location of the pin to the surface of the cylinder. I have it just kissing it but the joint can be changed to move it out or in.
