How to edit patterned components individually

Hi there

I've made this parquet pattern for a side table: https://a360.co/2Fud2Bu

Currently to create a clear drawing without the overlapping pieces of parquet visable, I cheat and create a massive body which extends off the side of the drawing page to cover them up. Instead of extruding a body to cover these extra bits, i'd just like to extrude cut them all, however when I do this is deletes all of the components not just the parts or whole components i'd like to delete.

Can anyone help with this?

Those links the the file in A360 are super annoying. May I suggest that you File>Export>(*.f3d)>to your computer and then attach that f3d file to your next post here.
