How to cut an object to mirror?

sorry already coming up with the next question.

How can I cut an object, delete one half and mirror the other side over so no need to model both sides.

Cut object in Half did not get me the result.

I want to cut the object in half so I do not need to model both sides twice.

At least in Maya I would cut and mirror it over
