How to create a rectangle ramp on a cylinder

I am totally stuck. I have no idea how to make a ramp on  a circle, i am making an adapter that attaches to threads that hold on a cap

https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-White-Gravity-Fresh-Trailer/dp/B0735LHQBD/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3CJMCN3VQ2...

my adapter replaces that cap. the problem is the threads are pitched.

how do i design a rectangle ramp at a specific height from the top of the cap to each end of the ramp (its only 14 mm wide 3.75 extruded) .18mm on the left side to 1.25mm on the right side.

the pic below is wrong, as it does not ramp. i tried emboss, but I don't think that's right. someone give me the lightbulb please

If you are trying to make a custom thread then you can use the coil feature itself if you want a square or a 60 degree V thread. If you want a rectangular thread then you can sweep a profile along the coil and then cut away what you don't need.

You are making things much harder for yourself by using a mesh instead of directly modeling the part in Fusion. I recommend watching some tutorial videos and starting over.

@wmhazzard

can you provide a short screencast? to do a small example, the mesh piece is just an example, I am not working with it, it was just used as a guide.

No need to reinvent the wheel, all of the basic information on modeling in Fusion 360 is already on Youtube.
