How to create a 3d model from a 2d photo

Hello,

New guy here, I'm just getting into fusion 360 and I need some help. I want to create a model that I can print from a picture. The picture is in gray scale and has bench with two people sitting on it. Is it possible?

You can use the canvas-function to import the picture so you can use it as a reference for your sketches.

1. Open fusion

2. Go to insert - canvas

3. Choose image - choose plane - ok

4. Go to sketch and you can draw/copy the shapes from the picture and make a model.

I think there are no way you can have the program make a 3D-model out of a 2-D picture. You have to do the work yourself, but as I mentioned, you can use the pic as a reference.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Did you import the image onto a Canvas in Fusion?

Did you scale the image to correct size after import?

Are you familiar with sketching in Fusion, or is this your very first project in Fusion?
