Hi Paul,
My end goal is to produce drawings from which I can built a model ship out of wood.Getting a little bit familiar with Fusion 360 I started with creating construction planes with the frame sketches. Then there was the struggle to get these sketches fully constraintMy first attempt was to create a solid hull
Changed this because problems into creating a ( one) shape/face I added the waterlines
Found out they had to be coincident with the frame lines
I reached my goal with creating faces between to frame lines
Afterwards understanding F360 a little better I now know I could use multiple frames
being aware that the rails MUST BE connected with the frames
I thaught to merge -Merge edge- all faces/shape to one face/shape
and then thicken that one face/shape so creating a solid which I can use for the outside planking
but still I must select all the shape
Then I noticed I missed RULE#1
So first I want to copy all into a component
Then copy the complete -to say construction plane & sketch- component to create a solid
Then I have to modify each sketch to get a solid
In the image you see There are a lot frames
Having the solid I can copy it into new components
By slicing or cutting I then can create each unique frame
If You think there is a better way to do is
Please advice,
regards,
Pieter
