How to copy a body from one design into another one?

I need to "import" a part I designed from one project to another.   How do I do this please?

You can copy components from an open design to another open design.

Ok, well I dont seem to be able to, so how do I copy a component then?

***solved*** ok I got there, that was crazily hard for what it is  😞

If the body is linked, then you'll either need to import it from the original file, or break the link in order to copy it.

p.s. Right click on the original file in the data pane to show the context menu with the import command.

I think that is part of the problem, I cant export it as a fd3 either   😞

You need to break the link in order to export as .f3d.
