How to Convert Stitched Bodies to Bodies to Edit

Hi

My title may be confusing.

I was given this step file but it appears that it hasn't been converted correctly. It seems to have unstitched parts that wont stitch to create a body for me to edit.

As it stands I can do nothing with it.

Is there a way to convert it to a normal body to work on.

Any help is always appreciated.

Regards

Ian

hello @ianhughes7UFVF    there are many areas that intersect and cannot be welded. there are overlaps and redundant / double areas. loosen your body and cut and stitch together again. greetings mango

Hi

I tried to unstitch all the parts and restitch it with no success.

I assume I need to remove bad areas that you highlighted and give it another go?

Hi

I converted alot of the parts to bodies and did a lot of clean up. I need to clean up gaps and tidy the whole up but I tried to do a test mirror of half as I thought splitting it and cleaning up one side would help. The test mirror doesn't work and comes up with an error.

Is there any ideas how to improve on this so I can mirror the one side.

Kind Regards
