I do not believe line thickness can be changed in a drawing currently.
Are you allowed to use JPGs or PNGs. The last time I supplied drawing for a patent I used JPGs so you might be OK with a screen gab.

In Windows Accessories there's a program Snipper Tool that will allow you to take a screen grab.

When you try to save the drawing as a PDF, the "output PDF" window has the option "lineweihgts" selected by default. If you unselect that option, all the lines on the document will appear much thinner. I had the same problem and by trial and error that's the only solution I get. Hope it works for what you need.
