How to calculate volume of a complex object?

I would like to know how to calculate the volume of an object consisting of multiple components (the combined volume of those components). I know that the volume of an individual component can be calculated by looking at it's properties (right click --> properties), is there a simillar way of calculating volume of multiple components (since if I select all of them property section shows the properties of a single component)?

Use the Measure tool under Inspect

The measure tool doesn't give me any information on volume, am I missing something?

The only workaround I can come up with is make a temporary component drag the bodies into the component get the volume then hit undo. If the bodies don't overlap you can do this quite quickly with the combine tool.

I think this would make a good request for the Ideastation unless there's something I've missed and it's already in Fusion.

Hello arminsstepanjans,

I have written a small script which can help you to calculate Volume for more components/bodies.

1. Unzip attached file to appropriate location
2. Add the script to the list of My Scripts
3. Run it

Command panel is displayed where is possible to select Components or Bodies and see Volume and Mass for selected objects.

Volume is in default Fusion units (cm^3) and Mass in (kg).
