How to bring objects flush with pivot on axis

Referring to the attached drawing, you see that body Roof3 needs to come down to be flush with body SouthRoofWall2. I can get it in the ballpark by rotate on the axis RoofAxis but that's fudging it of course.

How do I do this properly?

Using Modify -> Align on the two planar faces is the quickest with your current setup; see below.

I'd recommend converting your bodies into components though. This will allow you to use Joints to easily position & constrain the different features.

Thanks for the tip about components. I didn't know about those. I selected all the Bodies, right clicked, and did Create Components from Bodies. Is that all I needed to do for that?

Yep, exactly. You can now use the "Joints" function between the different components to help align and constrain the parts, which helps create a robust parametric model. With Fusion, you really want to use Components when building assemblies. Think of it this way: Components are the individual parts, bodies are the geometry that make up the part. Just as an example, most of my simple designs *usually* end up with one body per component (although you may see multiple bodies in the timeline used to help build the final component design).

 

For a typical workflow of a simple assembly, you'll create an initial component and constrain it to the WCS. Then, as you build more components, you'll assemble (i.e. constrain) the different parts/components together with the Joints.
