How to align drawings on the page?

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to align (center) a view to the center of the page, but I can't figure out how to do that?

I also want to do a bottom align of 2 views on the same page, and I con't find anything that can help me do that.

Likewise, I couldn't find any alignment tool in the drawing toolbar. Is there a workaround for that?

Thanks.

The drawing template I use has a center of sheet markings in the border so I use them to do what you desire.

Hey John,
This is a nice workaround for the center align.
I also need to align multiple views, it could be bottom or top align. Do you have a workaround for that?

Ben.

Use Move and Transform and track from first view.

Unfortunately the alignment isn't associative.

If you move the first view the Moved view doesn't go with it.

@TheCADWhisperer, I have tried and too messy when you have to do that on 7 sheets.
Thanks for your feedback 👍

I'm not sure, how the Drawing team missed that feature. The Align tool is very basic, and every design software has it.

Another option they forgot, is the Export to PNG/JPEG. It is important when you need to send the drawing to the Patent application.

I use the Move command, and key points, to align views to other views.  I think this is what the @TheCADWhisperer is talking about.  It is the same as I showed in my first video to center a view but I am tracking off a key point in another view.  I can see if you had to do a lot of views, it could get tedious.

You can do these operations in Autodesk Inventor Professional - and Align of views is associative.

Hey @ClintBrown3D,
This doesn't really answer my questions:
1. I would like to align (position) a view in the middle of the page.
2. I have 2 or more different components views that I want to create bottom or top alignments.
3. Export to PNG or JPEG would be very helpful.

Thanks.
