Face group detection on blended fillets is unreliable and would require some manual tweaking of which triangles belong to which face group. It isn't obvious to me how to edit face groups.

Its been a while since I managed to do that, however, the menu items have changed since then.

I think it changed with the introduction of parametric mesh operations.  You can Combine Face Groups as always,

but, the problem is that you cannot select facets in a parametric mesh at all.  So, if you need to select facets, you will have to first do a Direct Edit:

I was afraid that would be the case. When I direct edit, I don't see any possibility of editing or creating face groups.

When you enter direct edit mode the option to create face groups should appear on the menu. Unfortunately you can not set the filter to select existing face groups to add too so you have to pick all the faces.

doesn't double clicking on a face select all the faces in it's face group?

Ahh, yes. Somehow, that had escaped my attention. Thanks!

Yes that does work, where's that documented?

Watching the video on mesh editing in the help was also quite useful, didn't know you could run the generate face groups on an existing face group so you can use the accurate option on part of the mesh rather than the whole mesh.
