How do I select a sketch that is behind a face?

I have a sketch that is covered by a face.  I need to pick part of the sketch for an extrusion.  When I try to do that, I can't pick the sketch element.  I see the selection filter "Body Faces" (under Select >Selection Filters) that I can turn off and then it does not pick the face.... but there has to be a faster way than this.  I am an Inventor user and in Inventor, its just a matter of right-clicking > Select other.  Then I can scroll thru and pick what I am after.

Is there something similar to this in Fusion 360?

Thanks

The fastest way to do this, is to use the selection picker (my term not the official one).

If you hover over the sketch you want to pick, and then press and hold the LMB, a dialog should pop up with a bunch of options such as face, sketch, profile, etc. You can then hover over each option, and it will highlight what it is referring to. Using that you can select something through something else.

Hopefully my explanation is adequate, I can try to do a screencast if you need more explanation.

The long LMB press is like the "Select other" in Inventor.

Thanks

I just found a much easier way to only select the sketch element. simply enable "slice" in the side menu "sketch palette". This will do a section cut allowing you to select the sketch only.

Hi,

Why not just turn off the visibility of the object that is in the way? A simple single

mouse click in the Browser Tree.

Cheers
