How do I make the dimensions that were sketched permanent???

I'm a newbie at this program and currently I'm trying to use the 2D functions to draw a square of 5m by 5m. I want to include the dimensions as well but whenever I press 'stop sketch' the dimensions auto-disappear. I want it to be permanent. So what do I do?

After Stop Sketch,

right click the sketch in the Browser, in that menu, click, Show Dimensions.

Hi celinalim,

You need first find the browser node of "Sketch1" under "Sketches".

Show dimension.png

Then RMB on the browser node "Sketch1“, you will see an item of "Show Dimension". By clicking "Show Dimension" will show all the sketch dimensions you have created in sketch.

Thanks,
Frank

Hi celinalim,

As far as I know, Fusion sketch cannot directly be saved into PDF file. However, Fusion sketch can be saved as DXF file. But there are some limitations. One of the limitations is no dimension will be saved into the DXF file.  I guess you need all the dimension information also saved into PDF file, right?  There are some workarounds I think. One possible method, is to use the "print screen" functionality by windows or Mac. You can print screen the sketch information into a PNG file. And then try to translate it into PDF file.

Thanks,

Frank

As far as i know, you can not copy a sketch in itself. But you can edit the sketch, select all lines, Dimensions etc., then copy it, and paste it into a new or existing sketch.
