Sure - It's not an command to manipulate geometry. But it's not a bad design.

Sectional analysis is a viewing mode, not an operation like extrude, cut or sketch.
Exactly - it's a view mode. And like Named Views it's located in the browser. It's a totally consistent behavior. And like Named Views I like to reactivate them from time to time.

Because of the points above this assumption is wrong if it comes to the browser. Sure - it should (and doesn't) appear in the history.

Moreover, putting it in a plain folder called "Analysis" only leads to frustration because most users will easily overlook it, especially if your browser has lots of folders. If you insist on putting it in the browser window, then create a special icon for its container/folder and move it away from the rest of the model like the preference section. User's can easily see where it has been added instead of having them play "Where's Waldo?"
The views of all Inspect -> XXX Analysis commands are located here. So the name is fine.

It's also counterintuitive to expect the user to "hide" something that's not a physical representation. Would you expect to hide a left, right, front view? In reality, section analysis is an internal view of a physical object, so it belongs with other viewing operations. Ideally, it belongs where the orientation controls are located.

Mhhh - so Sketches, Panes, Origins Name Views, Document Settings are physical representations? I guess you know what this will lead to. I don't agree. And most of those things I can show and hide. Totally logical for me.

Moreover, the operation should really be called "sectional view." "Analysis" is a lazy word which doesn't really describe anything. Everything in your model can be analyzed...
And you would add a new folder that it matches this name? Or would you move the result into the Named Views? Both doesn't makes sense for me.
