Ok, this would be so much easier if i knew what it was actually called, but i wouldn't be here asking if i did.  lol!

Bare with me i will try and explain as best i can lol!

Ok, so i have sketched several components and positioned them as assembled (several small pcb parts).

I would like to enclose said components inside an 'organic' shell....

errr, as if it were covered in heat shrink tubing (ya know how it conforms to am uneven surface) or like a  ghost, (bed sheet over your head!)

If that made any sense..... if you could point to a relevant tutorial that would be outstanding!

Even if you could put a name to what i want to achieve that would a start LOL

Thanks

Can you share your model ? (export as .f3d and attach to next post)

I don't think you can do this sufficiently in Fusion 360 nor would I know another CAD software that can do this out of the box. But I'd have to see the model you have so far.

The best way to do this IMHO is likely to export your PCB model as a .stl file and import it into Blender. Then I'd use a technique including the shrink-wrap modifier to adhere to the .stl geometry.

The resulting quad mesh I'd export back into Fusion 360 and convert into a T-Spline.

More on this once I have a model 🙂

Been a little ill of late, Sorry i didn't reply sooner!

I was a little burnt out and could not think of a better analogy for what i'm looking to do:

I wish to create a pod/shell.

As if the components were vac-formed or blister packed (as arranged in the attached images).

The square object is the mounting plate for the shell.

lol, Magic... Much better explanation!

The only way that my knowledge of fusion allows would be for me to use Patch/loft to join all the objects together, but this would be a huge amount of work and would not be aesthetically 'organic'.

Wouldn't that depend on how skillful you apply a given technique ?

Assuming that you are simply trying to create a protective shell that doesn't  actually touch the camera

I created a video a long time ago in a different galaxy far a way ( or so it seems) on something that might roughly be similar to the shape you are looking for.

Yes, indeed it would depend on one's own skill with any given technique.

Educating myself can be slow going at times.

Just attaching an image to the previous post caused a significant struggle... My profile picture being one of the screenshots was not intentional. HAHA!

Thank you very much for the link. 😄

Edit:

Nor can i follow simple requests as i have only realised now that you requested i attach the f3d file
