How do I copy then scale a sketch in one dimension?

I am trying to copy a spline curve onto a parallel plane, then scale it in the vertical dimension differently than in the horizontal.  Ideally I would have the control points, splines and curvature to manipulate in the new plane as well so I could tweak the geometry.  The sketch scale only allows me to scale the sketch proportionally in the vertical and horizontal, and no ability to manipulate the spline.  Should I create the sketch as a component, copy the component, and break the link to the original sketch?

I am trying to create formers for an airplane fuselage.  I'd like to use the same method to create wings by creating a root airfoil, then copy the root airfoil to the tip, scale it to the right chord, increase the tip thickness %, and add washout (rotate the tip airfoil relative to the root airfoil)CopySketchExample.jpg

like, 20 years ago my neighbor shot a porcupine out of the top of a tree with a shotgun. the tree didn't die. the lower branches grew up and around the decapitated top. that's this software.

Rohit, you mentioned that a single-axis canvas scale option was in the works. It seems that it never happened?

I can give an example. I am working from blueprints, to draw items. These are scanned historical blueprints, and they are often 3 elevations.  They don't always match up when I import them into F360. I may have an item that is 80 ft long, and one of the elevation drawings doesn't quite match another drawing. I would like a way to quickly true them up. I was working on a project that led me to this thread and the issue was the vertical scale of the drawing didn't match the horizontal scale. My solution was to create a measurement in F360 to a specified measurement on the drawing and find the the percentage needed to correct it. Then I went out of F360 to my photo software and re-scaled my drawing to ensure it was square. Then I reloaded that as a new canvas. While it worked, it required many more steps than I wish it did.
