How do I break the link between two components?

I have a component that I copied, pasted, rotated, and moved. Now I'm trying to extrude it, but it keeps affecting the component that was originally copied. How do I break the link so I can extrude without having to redo all the work getting this item into position? Thanks

Do a Copy, Paste New of the first copy.  You can then remove the first copy. 

p.s. It would be better if you used a joint to position the copy instead of rotating and moving.

You cannot do that.

In genreal, moving a component using the move function and position capture is not what you should doing in most cases.
