How do document this?

This item is to be machined on a manual mill and a lathe. The axis of the cone is at a specific angle to the long edges, but I can neither draw the axis nor it's angle to the long edges. Any ideas please?

Will this be machined by you, or by somebody else?

(Many of your dimensions do not make logical sense from a machining standpoint.)

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

It will be machined by me. What dimensions seem illogical?

Thank you Guenther, I didn't know you could use a design sketch in a drawing. I've almost got it to work - I'm able to create the cone axis and create the required angular dimension but the text of the angle ends up in a place I don't like and can't move, plus there is a little warning triangle requesting me to specify an edge or point in the drawing. Why?

I tried to add a Screencast, but it failed for some unknown reason. Here it is.

Sorry for the missing screencast. I added it, apparently OK, but when I post I get a message requesting me to review the message because there were corrected HTML content and to verify when I'm happy, but then when I post the Screencast is missing. What's going on here?

There is something weird about the sketch line, you created in the model, and how it appears in your drawing.  In both my Screencast and @g-andresen it appears as a phantom line.  The yellow triangle you refer to appears when you dimension to a line that is not contained in the model.  I think this is being caused by the same weird line you have in drawing.  Try doing your model sketch over again and then make it visible in the drawing view.  If it is not a phantom line you are not using the sketch from the model.

Thank you John, it works fine now. My mistake was to specify an existing sketch rather than creating a new one, and then saving it.

You and Guenther solved my problem, and I've learnt something new. Thanks again.
