How can one quickly collapse browser?

We are working in large assemblies and the browser is long.  Is there a Fusion way to collapse all?

Click on the triangle to the left of the top node.

If, however, you mean collapse all level 1 components, then you may need to ask this question in the API forum.

Clarification: For example Ctrl+C collapses the browser to the level in the attached image.

good idea but this level 1 view is like the home base when we start digging into browser.

With some practice using the arrow keys to collapse many expanded items in the browser is quite fast.

Hello Again Community,

I am returning to this...It is a real pain point for me.  I love having returning to a clean collapsed browser.

It is simply to much clicking to get your browser to this state in Fusion.

SW has a Collapse All for its browser-timeline....

Would anyone else like a Collapse All for the Fusion browser? 🤔

I made an add-in for it. I believe it should be a built-in feature, but until the Fusion team brings it into Fusion, I hope my add-in comes in handy.

Install

1. Prepare the unzipped folder (BrowserCollapse / BrowserExpand, with resources)
2. Fusion → UTILITIES → ADD-INS (Shift+S) → Add-Ins tab → ＋ → select the folder → Run
3. The [Collapse Tree] / [Expand Tree] button appears in the ADD-INS panel

How to use

1. Click [Collapse Tree] (or [Expand Tree]) → an info dialog appears
2. Click OK, then within ~3 seconds click the starting item in the tree (to give it focus)
3. It runs automatically — Collapse goes bottom-up, Expand goes top-down
4. To stop: click anywhere (or press any key)

Notes

• If a large tree isn't fully done, just run it once more
• macOS needs permission once: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → allow Autodesk Fusion, then restart Fusion
