How can I shell this sphere?

I have a sphere, and I want to make a case for it, how can I shell it, I've made two spheres, one a little bigger than the other, I want to remove a portion of it and the inside so it can act as a case, picture attached.

File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here.

Select Shell and then the Body in the browser (not face).

Doesn't work, it said it would remove all the faces, even as shelling it as body.

See Attached Shelled Sphere. (In Wireframe view.)

Also check in shaded section view.

Right click and Edit Features to change sizes.

No faces removed

edit the diameter of the circle in the sketch.  I left it undiminished, so you can just drag it.  you should lock it down with a dimension though.

did you step through the timeline?
