How can I patch this?

I'm making this box cutter and try to patch this hole. But every time when I try to patch it it said compute failed.

Please help me.

You've got bigger fish to fry than patching the end of that.  Your going to be fighting this thing till you get your time line cleaned up.

Also, Looking at the surface body, there is some weird geometry going on with the shape of the surface edges.  I think it's going to be difficult to get a good patch on it with out cleaning that up.
