How can I move the ground plane in the rendering workspace?

I saw the post regarding reposition the ground plane but I am still not sure regarding how to use the controls to move the ground plane to the appropriate position.  If you look at the attached image you will see that I need to put the ground plane beneath the model.  I am also not sure how one positions the distance of the ground plane from the model.Screen Shot 2016-03-23 at 12.08.18 PM.png

hi sellers89,

 

you can set the camera orientation by right clicking on the view cube in the upper right corner and setting the appropriate top or front view.

 

one thing to remember this method does not physically move the object in x-y-z space, it merely re-assigns camera views to your model/world space.

If you need to move the model you'll have to select the components/bodies and move them to get them in the correct position to map to the default camera positions.
