how can I make this tab slide in this slot

I am modeling the valve gear on a steam locomotive. For this particular piece, the small component A has to slide within the slot on componenet B. I have tried the slot and pin joint, and also a planar joint and a contact set, but I can't get them to work. Here is a link to the part.

since the slot is arc shaped, you can use a revolute joint. see attached
