How Can I align this body to another using 2 holes?

If I create a body (green part bottom right) and need to copy and move it I used the move command to do this giving the green  part on the left.

Later I made another part (orange) that fits to the original body via 2 holes.

I want to also copy that and align it to the green body on the left.

So I:

Move & Copy first to create another body

Convery that body to a component so that I can then apply joints.

I apply the first revolute joint and it aligns fine

But if I try to apply a second joint (nether revolute or fixed work) to another hole to finish the alignment I get an error basically fusion can finish the 2nd joint but only if it deletes the first.

What am I doing wrong here?

Please attach your model so the Forum users can use your data to demonstrate.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

I do not see any issues with the Joint you are trying to apply.  Maybe the warning is bothering you?  Model attached.

OK My problem was the joints were OK but when you try the 2nd revolute joint it comes up with the warning/error then if you hit continue the preview does not show the aligned part so I never hit OK because it never looked correct but hitting OK aligns the part properly.

If you have suggestions for better body/component arrangement (or workflow in general) I'd be interested to hear thanks.

I do not know your "total" design intent, I am just guessing.  I do however feel you need to get away from Copying Bodies and Copy Components instead keeping the associated bodies under each component.  I did not position the second assembly but if I did I would use a Joint to place it where desired or you could simply Ground it where it sets.

Hi,

I admit that it is strange when it is recommended to ignore a warning.
But in this case, you can follow the recommendation.
I have been practicing this procedure for a long time, e.g. when inserting wheels with 4-hole mount plates.
