Hole with threaded ends, not center?

I'm new to 360 as you might tell by this question. I've looked and can't seem to find the answer. How would I go about creating a through hole with two threaded ends and not the center portion?

I thought about creating a cylinder, but then run into the same issue with threads on either end, then using that to cut the block shape that I have.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

i would suggest creating an extruded hole and then using the Thread command on each end.  See screencast.
