Hole table in Drawings?

No hole table for drawings in F360? Is this planned or am I in the minority for wanting this?

Couple other question in regards to drawings as well...

Trailing zeros? How can I add them. My precision is set to .1234 but a 4" dimension shows as 4in, I would prefer to show decimals to represent tolerance.

Edit; Just did a search and found this is not an option...anyone have a timeline on this?

@mikewearne - thanks for your post, I can guarantee that you're not alone in these requests. Here are some status updates on the following features:

- Hole Table: We have this on our roadmap, and I'm hoping to be able to deliver basic table functionality in January. Keep your eye on the Roadmap blog to get more up-to-date info as we get closer to the end of the year. 

- Trailing Zeros: This control is coming in the November update.

- Edit: What kind of Edit are you looking for? View edit? Text edit? Hatch edit?

Unfortunately the Autodesk team treats the drawing module like an unwanted step-child instead of a very important module of Fusion.  There are so many things lacking as to make it unusable in a professional enviornment.  The team is more interested in glitz than function.   They hide behind the fact that it is esentially free.   BUT the users are also guilty by not being adament reguarding basic functions and reliable and stable use.   The software was put out on the market years before it was stable and professionally usable.  We are all Beta testers on this project.  I think this approach will come to haunt Autodesk in the future.  Being different just for the sake of being different is of little value.

The approach of forced cloud storage is a show stopper but Autodesk is not listening to the professional users.   No .dxf export of a drawing is at the top of my list but I blame the other users for not getting on the bandwagon to push for this capability.  In the real world it is necessary.  The list goes on and on.

The $300 a year I pay to Autodesk is a donation.

you can export .dxf, you can also chuck your file at autocad 360 what`s free to export to and make change`s put dementions on your drawing and output it as a .pdf or .dwg then print it out. what you cant quiet do from fusion yet but there are ways around that using other AD product`s that are free

ad have explained they will not do local storage at all just local upload on some file type`s, that`s what inventor is for. nice to know that it`s the user`s fault fusion does not work how you would like

It is not the user's fault in this case.   I don't want or can use a .pdf or .dwg  file.   I NEED a .dxf  file directly exported from the drawing module.  This is not rocket science.  When I make a drawing and need not just want a .dxf file to send to a laser cutter or cnc plasma cutter I need a .dxf.  Having to jump through hoops like a circus poodle is not a good solution. 

Without the local only storage Fusion 360 will remain in the hobby realm.  For that there is no work around.  I have read why AD insists on always cloud storage.  They are wrong in their thinking.   Have you read one post that states it is a good decision on AD's part?  Me not!   Not one post.   They say they are listening to the users....they only hear what they want to hear.   It is their product and they can do what they want with it,  that is no question.  BUT they ask for feedback but don't listen to what everyone has written about cloud only.

I use SpaceClaim and GeoMagic for anything serious.   Fusion 360 is not ready for prime time and if AD insists on following this direction is will remain a hobbiest platform.  After all that is why it is free.    It is AD's history to get people hooked with free or easily pirated software so later on they will buy the software.   That is exactly what they did with Autocad.  Only they dropped the ball and lost out to other companies.

Some of the basic concept of Fusion is great.  A one stop platform for all your needs.  For this I applaud them.  But their focus to me is killing the product.  They are writing crappy code and lettng the users debug it for them.  Unfortunately it leaves such a bad taste in the mouth that users go away as I was forced to do.

They have a plan.  They are not being altruistic with Fusion 360.   They will have to make money with the product at some point.  Carl is a nice guy,  but not that nice!!!!

@TimeraAutodesk This thread is getting a little side tracked but thanks for the heads up about the RoadMap blog, I was unaware of this. 

The 'edit' was just that, me editing my post stating I had done a search and found those options were not available. That is great news that something is in the works, and even better news that you guys make this information available to users. Many software companys keep users in the dark on development plans and I think what's happening here with Fusion 360 is great.

Hi @George-Roberts, Thanks for following back up on this. Tables and Hole Tables are still on our roadmap, but I don't have a release date for you yet. The team is currently working on support for templates, multi-assets in a single sheet, special characters for dims and text, cosmetic threads, text property editing, and a few other smaller projects.

Is there an update on this? Annotating drawings that have a lot of holes is very messy. This increases the chance for an error to made made in the manufacturing process.

@dtom.toth Unfortunately, we haven't been able to begin work on this feature yet, but we certainly know how important it is. In the meantime, the cleanest option for dimensioning a part with many holes is still going to be to use the Ordinate Dimension feature. Thank you for your patience, we know there's still a lot of work to do in the Drawings workspace to round it out.

Hi Timera,

Here in 2019 looking to use a hole table feature.

Looking forward to more improvements to drawings as I think it's really the weak spot in the software at the moment as far as end to end engineering/part making.

The reason I would want a hole table is to nicely organize a drawing with a lot of holes in it. More specifically, you might have 20 holes with the same form... say M4 threads, but two groups of M4 holes that have different tolerance requirements. Some tolerances may be very important, whereas the other tolerances may not be very important, but you still want to use all the same fasteners for the sake of person assembling the end product (not having a billion different fasteners to find and lose).

Nearly 2020, any updates on Hole tables? It's kinda a very important feature especially when you are running up 20 plus holes per sheet that you need to be able to tell where everything is, what size each hole is and the thread information. 

Edit: did a count and averaged things out and knocked out the outlier ones. around 40 holes per part. Ordinate dimensions don't help with that.
