Boundary Fill Errors

Hey Guys,

I'm very new to 3D modeling and I've been struggling trying to get a boundary fill cut operation to work. I can't seem solve the issue.

I need to cut a recess in a fuselage to set a fan shroud into (see screencast below). I was able to use boundary fill to successfully perform the same operation using different bodies (the inlet and outlet that connect to the fan shroud). You can see those recesses have already been cut in my screencast. I keep getting errors on this particular part that I haven't a clue how to resolve:

Reference Failure - Some sculpt cells are mismatched.

I even tried re-creating the fan shroud, but still get the same error on the newly created body. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Taylor

This may be a current limitation for Boundary Fill. Thanks for the data, I can file a report based on your information.

In this case you have a decent workaround which is to revolve-cut the shape you want. Here's a video showing how.

Thanks for the response, Phil, as well as the workaround.

Any way to tell exactly what about my file that is causing the error? That way I know what doesn't work in the future.
