Hole Callout Implementation

Whats the word on hole callouts in drawings? I read it was high priority about a year and a half ago. Any movement? Seems like a pretty big oversight to not have this available.

Awhile ago, our team realized that it was not wise to have both our Drawings teams, and our Modeling teams working on separate implementations for holes/threads at the same time, so we have consolidated the efforts and are currently in the middle of the project now. We hope to release the ability to do holes and threads within the same command in the modeling workspace sometime early in 2018, and once we do that, our drawings will be able to easily reference the data to call them out in drawings. 

We appreciate your patience, and will be working hard to bring this functionality to you as soon as we can.

This has been open for over a year now. Is there any chance that in the mean time you could just add an option to write a script of some sort for it until the actual fix is ready? 

IE I click a button. It opens a menu that has 4 more buttons : [CBore] [Csink] [Tap] [Clear] You select one and then it builds a template with the symbols already inserted all the user has to do is fill in the blanks.

Any updates on this? The new hole command you mentioned was implemented in May, any movement on its callout counterpart? It would be an incredibly helpful addition.

Hey there Lucas!

We've been patient.  It's been almost two and a half years since you said you'd be rolling out hole callouts "as soon as we can."  And...nothing.  What, exactly, is being done about this?  Why does AD continue to ignore this extremely reasonable request?  Since 2015, this feature has been very politely asked for by teachers, professionals, and hobbyists, ad nauseum, on Autodesk's message boards as well as tons of other forums.  It's time AD did something other than ignore us--and since you were one of the official reps, the other being Kris Berg, who claimed our concerns were being expediently addressed, I feel like you have a responsibility to continue to address them until this issue is really solved.  

We want hole callouts.  This is a basic feature of a CAD package.  It's been "coming soon" for five years...that's inexcusable.
