Hinge / latch on assortment box

I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to working with fusion. And i tried to model an assortment box for work that i could 3d print out. But i'm having trouble to figure out how to model a latch and hinge  that works in reality, and don't know the exact tolerances to work with ;/

I work with absolutely zero tolerance. I just don't have time to put up with other peoples crap.

Which filament will you be using?  Is it flexible? If you're designing a living hinge, you'll need to understand how much flex the material can handle.  If you're designing an interlocking two piece hinge then the tolerances will be dependent on your printer.

Browse through the Gallery here and/or Thingiverse to see how others have solved 3d printing hinges.

i have looked at some of the designs on thingiverse and the ones i found just used nuts and bolts. maybe thats the easiest way. i tried modeling the latch and hinge myself through a youtube video.  but it seems like im doing it wrong and just wanted to now if any of you have any tips or trick to go about it.

maybe some latch that do not require lots of skill to design.

sorry if i came of wrong sounding like i just wanted someone to design the whole thing for me.

just wanted some guidance about how you would go about it.  😕

the box will be printed in PLA

Do you want to print it in place or do you want it to be assembled after printing?

This pdf has good info on designing snap fit joints in plastic.  An Internet search, 'plastic snap fit design', will give you even more.
