Hiding sketches in a projected view but not in another view when creating a drawing.

Hi, I have a folded sheet metal part that I'm creating a drawing of, the part is a "U" channel shape with slots on the edges. When I project the view in a drawing the slot on the edge behind is still in view creating an overlap, hiding the sketch means I loose the sketch all together.

Is there any way to hide the over lapping lines to have a neater drawing?

Thanks

Nathan.

Hi,

I am not sure what your problem is here. Your Left and Right views reflect exactly what your SW and SE views show.

It is an extrusion that has a couple of holes in the sides. If you have an actual Sketch showing in the Drawing (these

ARE two different things) then maybe you need to turn the visibility of the Sketch in the model to OFF before you

create the Drawings. The only other possible problem I see here might be that the holes behind are using the solid

linetype instead of the conventional dashed linetype for hidden lines. If so then that should be a setting in the

Drawing setup.

Cheers

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply I really appreciate your time.

Your suggestion made me think a little harder and after adding some centre lines I have achieved the look am after.

Thanks you.

Nathan.
